Re: Strange bent penny
It cannot possibly be caused by an object during minting. The coin is compressed at high pressure between two very hard objects. In order for your coin THAT YOU ARE STILL STARING AT AFTER 2 YEARS to be damaged like that, there would have to be 2 objects: one on each side of the die. 2 objects exactly opposite each other.… -
FUN Show Day 2 and 3, My Final Report, Cool Coin Pics

Ok, I am done, Saturday was a dud like I thought it would be. The kind of inventory I have is just not the kind of inventory the Saturday crowd is looking for. While the table next to me was sparse in humanity the last few days, suddenly, huge crowds at their table spilling over to mine. Obviously we had very different… -

Re: 2000-D SAC $1 multiple errors

She's on the way to Newport Beach. In the submission comments I practically begged for their best imaging, including the edge. "Please treat her like she was a one-off error coin". I said I would pay 10x the normal TrueView fee. Awhile back, I checked a couple of local macro commercial photographers in my area about a full… -

==RESULT POSTED IN COMMENT== Dropped off 20 coins at FUN for CAC Stickering. Will take a few weeks for results; in the meantime thought it'd be fun to crowdsource guesses. These 2 coins clearly don't fit in the Modern Commemorative Gold set at all and I've requested that they be removed. Has anyone else… -
Re: Can the Minnesota Wild afford Dylan Larkin?

Vilde, will never win an NHL championship, or, at least the odds are highly, highly, against them. They are just playoff fodder for the elite teams (when they make the playoffs). Vikes, have never won and don't seem to have the management competence to raise to the championship level. Timbercayotes, none. Twinkies, ok 2,… -

SOLD - 1915 Proof Barber Dime - PCGS PR65+ w/CAC! PCGS Pop Only 2.

Research in the literature AND in auction sales data show that the 1915 Proof Barber Dimes are quite difficult to find in this grade and higher. This PR65+ has a PCGS pop of only 2 (none by NGC). To show the difficulty of 1915 Barber Dimes even at the PR65 level of getting a CAC sticker, here's the data: There are 46…
