YEs... at this point I would... not sure what I would do with it.... perhaps use it to experiment on. I think we will soon know what causes milkspots... and that could possibly lead to a cure... maybe, maybe not. Stay tuned. Cheers, RickO -

Doesn't the milkspot issue happen only after the coin is slabbed? That is why i remember an offer of a reward money on how to solve this problem? Or does it happen even if the coin is kept raw in a sealed us mint box? -

I have always thought that "milkspots" were a strike-through resulting from an incomplete removal of whatever is used to rinse planchets prior to striking. perhaps the RCM should focus on that and not on a product which lessens the visual result. -

Yes some sources are rough.. look for them in the individual packaging for nice coins, the rolled and bubble pack coins take a bit of a beating. Mintages are 100k unc, roughly 5k proof. And yes, people report no milkspots. -

Not to be a party pooper but what is that I see on Liberty's face and neck, between the E and R and R and T, under the B and on the left side of the shield? Is that on the holder or the coin? Is it what is commonly referred to as milkspotting? Other than that it's a beautiful coin. -

it's probably right at CAM since there's noticable frost weakness at the deepest parts of the relief on the obverse. as to the 68, you'd be better suited with the coin in hand to judge hairlines and milkspots. Jeffersons suffer the same fate for frost break in key obverse areas. al h. -
