I wrapped this one in a piece of a page from 'Numismatic News'...the areas where there is no toning were milk spots. Interesting that the milk spots didn't tone. Does this mean that whatever causes the milk spots doesn't react with the toning agents? -

is a milk spot a FLAW ?? or is a milk spot "toning" or a change in color? Ive seen magnificently TONED coins of the highest grades? is a MILK SPOT different from a RAINBOW if the coin is not FLAWED? thanks for clearing this up. cheers, Alan Mendelson BestDealsTVshow.com -

Your welcome. It's sure easy to see where the water could come from for milk spots. Suprising that they don't rinse with some sort of mild solvent.before the hit the water though. -

What a bummer, I'd be aggravated too. Like Miles I stopped collecting modern silver coins for this reason, especially ASE's. Being a perfectionist, milk spots drive me nuts! -

Yea I'm happy, I think not paying shipping and get em sealed and only buyin what I need that was a steal. Now I can understand a roll of 20 is a very good price, but damn can't see em inside the roll and also might get those milk spots. J/k on the milky spots, I always think a slabbed coin protected and verified is… -

@davidk...Nice CC Morgan.... looks like a 65... I have several. I would not call that coin milk spotted...Could be the pictures, but not like any milk spotted coins I have seen. Plus, I do not think coins of that era ever had milk spots. Cheers, RickO
