Re: How many IKE 1972P Type 2's are there?
So then we know we have about 174 of the 1972P Type 2's that are registered with PCGS and NGC. Since 13 were registered with NGC, I can make a guesstimate that maybe 25 are registered with the other grading services. So that means there should be around 200 or so registered coins. Now then a certain die pair made between… -
Re: Anybody know anything about Type 1 or Type 2 1982-d Jefferson Nickels?
I learned that on the Type-1 obv. the star between "LIBERTY" and "1982" is more of a blob and on the rev. "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" is touching the rim. For Type-2 the star is a star and "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" is off or away from the rim. I learned this back in 1982 and saved a "P" and "D" coin of each. After this I… -
Re: The worth of the $2 dollar bill, and what makes it a good trade or buy?
The OPs collection was probably purchased at a huge premium. My advice is to keep that book/album in perfect condition as the only value most of the notes have.is in the nice presentation. (The uncut strip has a little premium, for example). Those are collectables, not an investment. Your red seal look to be curcyhated and… -

2 Unique Images with one of my PCGS's One a Trueview and one showing the slabs?

I stumbled on an alternate image from PCGS that was in addition to their posted TrueView Image. I had clicked on "show all images" on the Cert verification page for this piece and presto - another different image emerge showing the full slabs. I wonder if this is common now or was this a one off? This is the "Trueview" I… -
Opinions on these 2 Hank's would be appreciated

I've been scouting Hank RC's for a few months now and am always comparing, this one has me stumped, i'll post anonymously without the grade but one card ranks double in price vs the other. If you had a choice which ranks higher 1 or 2? Each has it's strengths, take your pick, better pictures to come: 1. 2. -
1971 New 2 Pence Minting Error

I bought a handful of foreign change this weekend from the estate of a world traveler. In the mix was this 1971 New 2 Pence coin with a blank obverse. It was not machined or milled off, as it weighs exactly the same as other New 2'S in the lot. Have not found ANYTHING on the net mentioning another one. Comments? -
Re: Which is rarer regarding the so-called 1893/2 10c?

<< <i> << <i>The proof is rarer, but both are very tough. Disclosure note: I have a proof and two business strikes. I've thought this issue has been underrated for a long time. >> Rich, where is it written that the proof is rarer, just would like the source documentation that is all, not questioning your beliefs. >> I…
