MadMarty Cook Island coin
Another "missing" coin that popped up when I found a box from years ago in my "spring cleaning". I knew Marty had sent me one and I didn't remember selling it, but I just didn't know where it was. Tonight, I found it. Anyone else still have one? I see 2 for sale on ebay (quite a price difference) and none in recent sales… -
Re: Can coins rust?

<< <i> << <i>They not supposed to SE92. But this one is rusty.....and slabbed >> Any explanation? >> Please see my explanation above. There are many other examples in the early Bust coinage in most all denominations that show die rust. It is not the coin that has rust, but the struck image of the pitting on the dies caused… -

Re: Geddy Lee of Rush shows off his collection
The Rush/Van Halen rivalry was big at the time and earlier. I was a huge VH fan, not Rush and when Fair warning came out, I thought Unchained was the best song I ever heard. My best friend was a drummer and Rush fanatic and honestly I blew off Rush without ever listening to them, thought I thought 2112/Temples was pretty… -
Re: What is it about this forum and its hate generating capability?

Russ, Russ, Russ Come on man...enough with the over caffiene responses....maybe DCAM needs some decaff as well. Let's say that back in October, he wasn't concerned, or didn't notice the restocking fee. Then, NOW, for some reason, it has come to his attention. And NOW, he wants everyone's opinion on re-stocking fees - is it… -

IMHO some the generic marks collectively called "rust marks" are the result of actual rust, i.e . the oxidation of a ferrous compound that eats away at the metal and leaves holes. This is why when we used to go… -
Re: A little heads up for those with their eye on this Accented Hair.
Educational mail sent. Easy enough to do, since I just responded to the last one she sent me. I think you have a right to fuss on this one, as it was clearly misprepresented. Here is the exchange between she and I, including the eMail just sent to her: << <i>>>>> Date: Thu, 22 Aug 2002 17:12:55 -0700 To:… -
Derrick Henry rushes for 2,027 yards

I didn't realize it, but Derrick Henry rushed for 2,027 yards this season. He needed 227 yards against Houston to reach 2,000 and he rushed for 250, bringing his total on the season to 2,027 rushing yards. He is the eighth man to ever rush for 2,000 yards in a season. The last person to do it was Adrian Peterson in 2012.…
