Re: ***APRIL 2010 Gold and Silver Stocks/Options/Futures trading thread***
<< <i>That is quite an ominous chart, cohodk. I don't think the markets are ready to topple just yet, as SP500 at 1250 looked to me to be an important level that I feel it's destined to be reached. We're actually not that far... I'll be surprised if the markets to fall before reaching 1250, but it is of course possible. My… -
Re: Anyone else holding on to gold to sell after $3000?

I started selling about 1/4 of my gold at $2,750. I just sold 1/4 more between $2,800 and $2,900. As it is sitting around $2,950, I am waiting to sell, as the last half is more a long term hold to see what happens. There is going to be a short-term top sometime and I expect a 5-10% correction or consolidation phase maybe… -
Re: PCGS NGC CAC graders

Yeah, and they don’t find out by reading a book. Nor do graders themselves. And no, they don’t actually “know”. They all have opinions about what the “standards” are. Many collectors will have opinions that fall along similar lines, but many will not. As you can see in this very thread, it was put forward that an AU58… -
Short report from China
I arrived in Shanghai today after 5 days in Beijing and wanted to give a short report on the coin business here. I got a chance to go to two government coin and currency museums, visited some "reputable" coin dealers, and went to the antique market in Beijing to see some not so reputable dealers. Whats hot - the visit to… -

Here are two Sutler Tokens from S.E. Ward who was the sutler at Fort Laramie, Dakota Territory. One is the 25 cent variety and the other is the 50 cent variety. Local NW Ohio show report.........the sky is falling!!
I attended the monthly Toledo coin show this morning. The show opened at 9:30. I arrived at 10:30 to avoid the opening rush..(Ha,Ha). When I arrived the parking lot was unusually empty. I wondered if the show was actually going on......then I saw a car with the license plate "MS65".....I knew I was at the right place. I… -
Re: Example #500 For Why eBay is Going the Way of Circuit City
There is a false statement if I ever heard one. I feel like I deserve one - do I get a discount?? NO! I ship next day on all my orders. I pack better than any other seller I have ever encountered. Just because a couple of sellers don't like me charging for shipping and have decided to ding my stars, then I lose my… -
Re: TV Show Mystery Shipwreck solved by Coins Aboard
Thanks all. For those interested in my comment regarding lead as having been speculated to have contributed to the fall of Rome here is an interesting article. Of note the fish sauce condiment referenced in the article was in fact the substance that was determined to have been stored for transport in the large ceramic jars…
