A Tale of two auctions...
So what is your opinion on these results. In the January 2012 Heritage NYINC auction a 1911 Sixpence in 67 was listed (it was and still is a pop 2/0 coin). This was one I really wanted for my 6d type set but unfortunately I was spent out, I chased is up for a while but at least two bidders kept going and it finally sold… -

Re: Strike Three Called!
....add to the above, the moment Trout does change his approach in an extreme way, or if pitchers adjust and he doesn't....and it results in him going .278/.388/.498....then he is no longer the best hitter. If he chooses to ONLY swing at 188 pitches the entire year, and he still goes .308/.420/.600 with 39 home… -
Re: Question for Cleveland Browns Fans...
<< <i>The only bright spot and I mean the only one is the combined records of the 3 teams played thus far.......9-0! Doesn't mean much for Brown's fans I know. But atleast they are getting waxed by good teams. >> Good point until you look at the combined record of the victims of that 9 and 0 mark. 7 wins 20 losses. even if… -
Re: Watching the Long Beach Auction, some things are holding true.
I was bidding from home on the live auction. Really wanted the HK-638 Western Reserved and the HK-388 Taft Diaz Spanish rev. I was the underbidder but it got a bit to stiff. I won two that I'm not as crazy about and that's probably because I paid to much. A HK-597 German American MS62 and a HK-868 Colorado Dollar AU58. If… -

Re: baseball HOF 2009 Candidates
Henderson Raines Blyleven Trammell I would vote in the above order. Mattingly is not close. Murphy, Morris, and Rice are closer, but would not get my vote. Raines was a much better player than Rice; Raines was roughly the equivalent of Gwynn. Raines' extra walks make up for Gwynn's extra singles. Their OBPs were .385 v… -
Re: Link to report excessive eBay bid retractions
What are the chances that I see this thread and run into one the same day? I'm the bidder on an item (not the seller). I put in my bid and then ran into a person with these details: 30-Day Summary Total bids: 1031 Items bid on: 388 Bid activity (%) with this seller: 3% Bid retractions: 81 Bid retractions (6 months): 938… -
