1971 OPC CFL Poppage, Round 2
A couple of months ago I posted results of some '71 OPC CFL grades. By mowing lawns, selling lemonade, and donating vital organs, I was able to scrape together enough nickels to send in another batch of cards. This one was not as successful as the first, as I think I got the dreaded "grader of death." Of the 60 cards, only… -
$2 Bills
Just went with a friend to a couple of banks and bought $200 worth of $2 bills. (See Here). We did this to try to release $2's back into the wild and hopefully show some people that $2's are just regular notes. My classmates always think they go for a premium as high as $5 for say, a common 2013 series note, and I try to… -
1970s

Here are my 1972 cards. I've split them into singles (the only one I have or the best one I have if I have more than one), and doubles (which in a few cases might actually be triples or quadruples - but mostly just one of each). The singles are mostly EX-MT, with some better and some worse, but in either case not a lot… -

1997-98 Upper Deck Series 2 Basketball Blisters

I’m curious if anyone has any thoughts about value on 1997-98 Upper Deck Series 2 Basketball Blisters, or any other info such as rarity. I think unopened examples are probably absurdly rare, mostly because series 2 unopened is fairly tough as is, jumbos seem to be very rare, and over the past 4 years or so I’ve never seen… -
1988 World Series game 2 w/ pre game Kirk Gibson/The Natural parallel production

Gibson's home run is the greatest HR in history. It puts a smile on my face every time I still watch Vin Scully make the call. The game 2 pre game featured a nice little Kirk Gibson/The Natural video comparison in addition to all the bells and whistles of the event. They even asked Gibson about The Natural in the pre game… -
1815/2 and 1836 reeded edge half dollars... Added photos to first post
... I'm hoping to be able to pick them up in a month or two. These are not run of the mill busts, but they aren't top of the pop either. They do look awesome though. The first is an ANACS 1815/2 in f12 The second is an ANACS 1836 reeded edge in vf30. The 36 looks well beyond 30 to me and the 15/2 just looked way too… -
1828 capped Bust Dime, Large Date, Curl base 2.

Only 2 dime varieties exist for the year 1828. This is an example of the JR-2 variety, distinguished by a larger date and a curled base in the '2' in the date. JR-2 is (only) described as R-3 and the scarcer of the two varieties, but, in my experience it is deceptively difficult to find in better grades. This example has… -
Re: Type-2 3 trime: great investment potential?
MR has been making the same general recommendations for type coins since the early to mid 1980's when I first started reading him. The Type 2's in gem made sense as to complete a gem type set of all designs it was needed...and quite scarce. I think that recommendation worked ok during the run up to 1989, but has fallen… -
