Re: Revival: BBCE Box Group Break - 1978 Baseball Cello
I have a few ideas for the potential break. First off, I think we should include all 4 sports and make have more affordable options with some higher end. Additionally, I think it would be smart to include 90's basketball in the mix for the kobe/jordan people. Here's a list of options... baseball 1981 Topps cello ($650)… -
Re: Kudo’s to Mike Trout
If you want to cherry pick a 8 year period of dominance and claim that makes him "the best player of his generation", you sure are entitled to do so, but Pujols had a 10 year streak that was (offensively) better. Mike has had 8 full seasons so far in which he has approximate SLG of .591 and has averaged 309 Total Bases per… -
Re: IMEX show (Nashville)
The grass is always greener. No shade on Nashville but, objectively speaking, NYC has more of whatever it is that Nashville has now that it didn't have 20 years ago, aside regional food and country music. NYC is an international center of just about everything. Nashville is a hot city in the south that is now attracting… -
FSH 1952 topps lot of 227 mostly G- vg with Hof'er and 5th series 3-309
including but not limited tot he following #'s. Going to firm up card #'s and photos tomorrow. Mostly Vg with few lesser, some better. The hhigher series are MUCH nicer, but some in that series have a small piece tape on the back at the top. A way to get a great start on a presentable low series set with most of the HOF… -
Re: Superior Sports Auction
I won a few of those auctions. How can you tell which cards came from Dmitri Young? And how is he well known to be a card collector? Any articles. Pretty cool! Here are some of the cards I bought with the prices I paid (including the 15% premium). Which cards did I pay too much, and which ones did I get a bargain on? 1955… -
Re: What was the best card you had graded from??
I've submitted many , many cards , but there are 3 submissions that I'm very proud of. All 3 are of sets that no one in their right mind would collect, but I do collect them non the less. One is a 1973 Topps Candy lid of Nate Colbert that graded out a 7. Big whipp one might say , but of all 309 Candy lids there have been 2… -

Re: Jeter - the new postseason choker
I have to agree with you on that one. For one thing, Im a Giants fan. My ALL TIME FAV is Will Clark. He was clutch back in his day. He always seemed to come through. In the post seasons he had, in 3 League Championship series he batted .468 7 total post-season series he hit .333 In 89 series he hit .650 to get them to the… -
