Strange medal -- struck on fused metal powder?
This medal has the design of HK-701, but is in an unlisted white-colored metal (HK-701 is listed as bronze). It's a fairly rare piece and So-Called Dollar collectors might enjoy seeing it, but that's not actually the reason I'm posting. The edge of the medal has a very odd appearance, and that is the reason I'm posting. It… -

Re: Good news for ASE owners!
So often folks have preached that when stocks are down, gold and PM's go up. Well, that certainly has not been the case lately now has it? Yes, gold is currently up but according to my calculations and the current market conditions, if there was ever the chance that PM's would have hit "through the roof" prices, it… -
Re: When going to a bank ...
Ok, I work at a bank and the last post just gave you the best info. Basicly there are two ways that a bank gives coins back to the fed. in rolls of in big plastic bags. The plastic bags are thousands of coins. Generaly in a small bank like the one I work for the rolling is done by hand buy the employees and they hate to… -
Re: ***JANUARY 2010 Gold and Silver Stocks/Options/Futures trading thread***
I agree that silver is going to be the winner on this next run. The gold to silver ratio can make it into the 40's on this next run. But I don't think we'll have to wait a few months to see it happen. Still, silver looks like it needs to go back and retest the breakout line first...which is closer to $17. I think part of… -
Re: What do you think the chances are that a country could go back to the silver standard?
Heres the deal. Worldwide production of "new" silver is around 680 million ounces annually. If equally divided among every person on earth, that amounts to about a dime sized piece per person! Ok, now that I have illustrated that there is far too little of the metal to facilitate commerce efficiently, let me advance this… -

<< <i> << <i>You think a lot of derivatives were NOT ripped up in 2008? I repeat, give me one example. >> Prove to me there even are any derivatives. Re: And then there was 29xx ...Again...
>90% of the people in the markets are suckers....they just don't know it. I'm probably one of them. I cleared out a pile of Saints at a show on Dec 9th to make room for some fresh buys after the Dec carnage. Was happy to take advantage of the run up in MS64/65 Saints. Any improvement in sovereign debt? Real interest rates?…
