And, in case the point needs to be made: 2% of 2 million Barbers is far fewer coins than 2% of 2 BILLION Roosevelts. 99.9% attrition still leaves 2 million Roosevelts which is more than the original mintages of a lot of earlier series. -

Franklin type 1&2 ?
Can some body give me a link to the difference between type 1 and type 2? What all years are there type 1&2? Is it just Proof coins? -
Is there something special about this '2'?
It looks like there is a little doubling in the '2' in '1942'. Is there any known double die other than the 2/1 for this date? I simply cannot get a good pic of it, and yes, I know that it is smeared-looking, but it looks like it was doubled before that incident -
