Re: Trend, or Sign of the Times?
The 'net can be a tricky place to buy coins, but there are bargains! I just sold about seven pieces, a raise cash venture, I lost on almost all of them, not much so I don't care, but a sweet Albany commem that I paid over $450 for went for $280, someone got a nice deal! A couple of months ago I bought a York NGC MS67*, a… -

Re: Need help - 1992 Action Packed 24K Gold Football
The 1992 Action Packed Footbal set was a 280 card series. 42 of them have a "24Kt" version. These look like the normal cards but have gold foil and are noted "24-kt. Gold" below the Action Packed in the upper corner. These are fairly cheap with stars in the $5-10 range. There is also another version that is gold layered… -
Re: The Future of US Coin Collecting Is NOT Dying.
Sorry but you're wildly mistaken. Ebay is where I do the least of my business. Most of business is centered around fulfilling want lists for both dealers and collectors. I'd say 1-3% of business is done through ebay. I find it funny you mention cracking, I've learned from some of the best in the industry and have… -
Re: 1989 Pro Set Football
The factors that make a product desirable are card design, lower production, and rookie card selection. Both of these are nice looking, solid color bordered sets, have the same rookies, and have similar difficulty and populations in PSA 10 for the top rookies. I think perceptions get formed for certain sets and collectors… -
Re: Does Larry Walker get into the Hall?
Already said Coors helped him a lot, READ the post. Coors doesn't win him Gold Gloves or steal him bases, and by the way you CAN'T just throw out what he did at Coors and call him a .280 hitter. He was able to hit as well or better a couple of years at on the road, how is that possible if Coors is the ONLY reason he had… -
Re: 2015 Topps Heritage

Re: who has the best prices on barbers 100$ face bags.
I believe grey sheet bid for a roll of Barber Halves is $280, their not cheap. Most all of these rolls will be AG/G, rarely will see a VG and if you do it will be a problem coin. The standard for these rolls is nearly culled coins which if your really lucky you'll get a bucket from a dealer who didn't search for dates. I… -
Re: Wish list, always updated
List updated and shrunken. I badly need the 1974 topps #280 Yaz in PSA 8. Help me out! Post edited due to the generosity of my ten year old son As a birthday present, he bought me the 1969 Harrelson I needed to complete my Yaz puzzle! I'm a happy daddy! I have tons to trade, but as a sample, I just set aside NrMt raw lots… -
Re: How do you like my new colorful Proof Indian Cent?
I had a few PM requests for a population bar chart of PCGS RB (Red-Brown) Proof Indians (if I had one) ... Here tis ... Note that the scale on the RB charts runs to 580 ... while it maxes out at 280 for the BNs So you can easily compare BN to BN (and RB to RB) Red-Brown RB Proof Indians I also did bar charts for PCGS BN…
