Re: Starting a 1933 Goudey Set
I don't think that set is very hard to find at that grade and somewhat affordable (depending on your budget). I think eBay is probably going to be your best bet on value. Most dealers who sell these issues charge a premium. Last year I sold the complete set of Cubs players (individually) and they were graded either PSA 5… -
Re: The 'Official' Official Mariners Thread
Mariners roll again, 12-2 in interleague play. Thanks NL! King Felix was dominating, 7 innings and 2 earned. Johjima comes up big again, 2-4 with 2 more RBI. Beltre continues to heat up, lifting his average to .258 with a 2 for 4 night. Lopez goes 3-5 and is batting over .280. M's 40-39, continuing to surge, 8-2 over their… -
Re: 1956 Topps baseball set for sale...#2 on registry
The $37,000 is SMR for a strait 8 set. Remember, Don has 55 PSA 9's and 2 PSA 10's in this set which alone would bring an additional $30,000. If I were selling, I would offer the PSA 9's and 10's to the top set-builders including possibly getting the replacement PSA 8's with the idea of listing a strait 8 set. If not… -
Re: What card is on your collecting radar right now?
I decent, grade worthy copy of Frank Thomas 1987 Auburn Tiger issue. A PSA 9 (pop 1) came up for auction a few months back, brough $350ish. I can't see paying that much money for a modern card with a print run of 5000. I'm actually glad my snipe of $280 was beaten. A raw version sold, but I went out of town and forgot… -

Re: How many of one card do you need??
If you want the card that bad, bid more than him. You can't fault a guy for the way he spends his money. It's his and he can do whatever he wants with it. I think your mentailty is way more of a plague on the hobby than his spending. You have no right to tell people what they should and shouldn't buy. Also, considering an… -

Re: How many BLUE Auto's did Aaron Judge sign in the 2017 Topps Heritage set?
@Luke1989 ... I respect your opinion ...however looking at the mere dimesnsions of these boys....Bonds 6'-2" 235.....Judge 6'-7" 280 ...Im not sure I believe the disparity in size and natural youth ..Bonds hit 73 at like age 37....Judge is 25.... will prohibit Judge from hitting 65 at least..... he clearly injured his…
