***cool pair of 1899 toner Indian cents -- thanks Charmy!

I posted the first earlier in my PNNA show report. The second just arrived today. They make a sweet pair--cherry toning with nice luster and similar era OGH slabs. Now I just need the matched 63RB and 66RB--let me know if you've seen them! Great photos from Todd. imageimage

    Nice!
I also like the obviously older holders they are in....for me, for copper, that can mean a lot image

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Can't see any luster in those pics at all. Do they really look like that in person? And the 1899 looks like it hasabig scratch?

Both have really nice luster in-hand. They do indeed look like that with cool cherry hues....the 'scratches' on the first obverse (65RB) are actually toning lines/or absence of toning on those areas....don't know how that happened exactly but I have some hunches having to do with storage methods and handling. Lots can happen in 100+ years.

Thanks all for the comments--all are appreciated.

David, I'm very glad you are pleased with those two beauties. It is neat to have such similar toning on the same year, same holder for copper. I'll keep an eye out for one in MS66 and MS63 just so you can have a nice little cherry-toned grading set!

    Davic,
Those indians are just about dead center on my taste buds. Emerald green. OGH.... me twitching in the corner

In fact you must have beat me to the punch (buying) by minutes on the 64RB.

Wanna make some money and flip it?

    pwease
I'd like my copper well done please!
