Please only remember my opening Sig Line.Didn't see the nickel again, but the machine kicked out two Canadian dimes and a proof 1976 quarter. Without getting a really good look, I offered him $1. He wanted $2. I didn't want to argue since it looked like one of the Canadian dimes was older. Turns out they were both modern. But the quarter was a 1976-S with a solid rim (weighs in @ 5.8 grams, so it should be 40%?) Though if my math is right the quarter isn't worth much more than $2 anyway.
It was only after I walked away that I realized that it was probably a 1976 silver proof set that had been busted open, so the dollar he flashed was almost certainly a 40% proof. Tried to find him in the parking lot but no dice.

I have found several silver dimes in the reject slot, but also - UNDER THE MACHINE!. Yes, you need to check under the machine. I had my 7 year old slid her little paw under the machine for what I thought was some Canadian 10c coin, but turned out to be a 1959-D Roosie. The problem with my 7 year old is that all finds become hers if she is anyway involved. I have found and lost several really decent finds because she happened to be with me.

Tell the person at the bank that you think you put more into the machine than what it counted and they will open the machine up and see if anything got stuck.
