I haven't. The key thing is "unsearched by our company". It was probably searched by someone else. I'm not sure I believe all of the wild feedback either. But ultimately, I'd probably buy one. $100 for the fun of looking through a 1000 coins seems like a steal. I've wasted $100 on less fun entertainment. I just won't expect to find anything.

I just think that generally speaking, anytime you see "unsearched" on eBay, don't believe it. oneor11's point about it being "unsearched by our company" is the key phrase there, to me. Never bought from this seller myself so I cannot speak to direct experience. Best of luck if you do happen to take the plunge.

image Yes, the best"unsearched" chance one has is, either, in a coin Star machine, the bank,at grandma's house,or on the ground. Good Hunting, the're still out there.image

I have never bought unsearched on eBay, but did on the BST - "unsearched" wheat cents. And you know, I really believe they were unsearched at least by the last seller. I found a '13-S in the pile - and I still haven't gone through the whole lot of them yet. So yes, if you have the right seller and the right coins you can find "unsearched".

In my opinion the phrase “unsearched bag of numismatic material” is an oxymoron. image

In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

These bags are available for free at any bank. It's how coin is shipped back to the Fed's or rolling companies.

As such, I would never even consider purchasing one of them since it's questionable on whether or not the contents have been "searched".

I'd much rather take my chances with two $25 boxes from my bank at face value.

I didnt read much more than 1 or 2 pages of the feedback before a commen theme was apparant , it's mostly false positives with people ackowledging thier own mistakes/foolishness

someone had to search them to know they were all wheat pennies. if you like a gamble, buy 90 scratch-offs, you will likely do much better. the only rewarding thing about these auctions is the comical negative feedback left by the dooshers that wanna whine because they didnt get a roll of key dates for a dollar each.
regardless of how many posts I have, I don't consider myself an "expert" at anything
