1876-CC dime DDR?

This is a coin owned by someone else. It is listed as WDDR-001 and identified as a DDR in Breen's Encyclopedia, entry #3397. Is the consensus that this is a DDR? I am only skeptical because of the significant doubling on the E of ONE and no where else. Could it be a recut die?

I believe that the E of DIME also has a shift. I have a PCGS-65 of the variety somewhere. I'll find it and post pics.

Per Breen, he says the doubling is "strongest at Es".

Looks like the DDR to me.

Yes, there are several 76-CC DDR dimes and this appears to be one of them. They are pretty common.

Yes that is a doubled die, not repunching. This appears to be a Class V (pivoted hub) doubled die with the pivot point around K-9. If you look at the wreath directly to the right of the E of ONE, you can see bold doubling on the ribbon as well. FWIW this is not a terribly hard coin to find in low grades, I look at most 1876-CC dimes that come up on ebay and I see them with some regularity.

Wow, looks like the 76-CC is the winner when it comes to DDR seated dimes.

Well now that the auction is over, care to tell us if that $56.00 final bid was yours?
