    That's a split-off clad layer, very much a Mint error and desirable to a collector. This is one of the few times where I'm stumped for a value, though.

    One Hundred Bazillion if I recall correctly!
    I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    Great find.

    A very interesting and cool error.

    I have a Jefferson nickel that is the same. The planchet split the coin into two separate halves. I have the reverse half. Wish I had the obverse half.

    From looking at the reverse on the nickel I think the nickel dates to the 1970's.
