  Really only searches I run on Ebay:
  
  195* Proof
  196* Proof
  196* SMS
  
  Add "PCGS" to any of the above.
  
  My Ebay listings always include the following in the title as appropriate, assuming that these would be search terms people would use.
  
  90%
  40%
  Silver
  Cameo
  Toned
  
  Obviously, the asterisk indicates a wild card for any year of the decade.

  Gotta have "toned" in there for searches. I may want coins without toning as well, but I want to be able to search based on toning or not.
  I also keep the TPGS name in searches (or to remove from searches).
  
  I search by date as well, and by type (ie..... "morgan" "merc" "mercury" "dime" "half cent" "1/2 cent" etc).
  
  I also like to search on grades or grade ranges ("MS63" "AU" "AU58" etc).

  I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

  I will often search for adjectival terms or auction/pedigree names (i.e. 'russet' or 'Reiver').
  
  Be sure to include a full description search that is generated by a user-defined term or terms.

  I go to the "Collectors Corner" which is listed at the bottom of the Coin Facts page. I've used it a number of times to find coins even while I'm at a show. They tell me that Dealer X has coin Y, and if he is at the show, I can go and check the coin out. I've found some items that way and avoided the hastle of returns when the piece did not work via the mail.

  Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

  The most important thing to me is a "New coins added since your last search" option. When I do repeated searches over time at a site I usually just want to see the new coins added and not have to look through the same coins again and again.
  
  For an example, I could put in PCGS as a search term, and then also click the "New coins added since your last search" and it would give me the new PCGS coins added since my last search.
  
  And if I leave the search term field blank, and only click the "New coins added since your last search" it would give me ALL of the new coins, of any type, added since my last search.
  
  Vcoins.com has this search option and I use it everyday.

  I collect history in the form of coins.
