For February, Post a Coin with <5K Mintage
![GeorgeKellogg](https://us.v-cdn.net/6027503/uploads/authoricons/Dicon.jpg)
If February was a coin, it would definitely be low-mintage. For some February fun, post a coin with a mintage of less than 5,000. Here's my offering: an 1853-D quarter eagle (mintage: 3,178) from the George Walton Collection (of "missing" 1913 Liberty Head nickel fame). I also have the Stack's Walton auction envelope from 1963. The photography is courtesy of Todd Pollock (BluCC photos).

<< <i>Posting a proof here seems to take the fun out of the thread, since almost all of my proofs, heck, any proof made before 1916, has a mintage of less than 5000. Not criticizing, just sayin'. >>
I was kind of thinking that too.
The Harry Potter crown didn't help either.
