Hi All,
I'm new to the board although I've been collecting for a few years. Just thought I would share a little about myself and post some pics of a few coins.
I started collecting coins as a child going to the local flea markets and grabbing coins from dealers back in the 80's. I still have my childhood collection and they mainly consisted of US coins some silver
. I also collected a few Japanese, Irish, and UK coins. Mostly base metal coins. I got back into collecting back in 2008 when i decided to buy a gold coin for my nephews 1st birthday. I got him an 1888 Gold Eagle (he was born in 2008).
That first purchase got me reading and researching about gold, silver and coins in general.
I then started collecting gold and silver bullion mainly.
After continued research and reading I decided to start adding Platinum and collector coins to my collection.
I've also started a few registry sets.
Here's a link to some coins I'm thinking about submitting to PCGS and getting graded.

Thank you, I think I've seen you on the registry.
I'm fairly new here myself and have been learning every day. As you likely have gathered, it's a great resource with many very experienced collectors and pros who are all willing to share.
