  There are a lot of posts/threads about ASEs and toning (forced or otherwise).
  Taco bell napkins seem to work wonders with most silver coins.
  I found kraft envelopes and shoe boxes to be effective.

  Tarnish is the result of the environment in which the coin is stored or subjected. There are methods to tarnish silver coins quickly and spectacularly. Of course, many will question the results, both good and bad. Some tarnish that is 'assisted' can be determined, the good one's cannot. The process is simple and there are threads here that indicate some methods. I have tried many for the purpose of learning the intricacies and variants involved. Many are slabbed although not what would be termed 'natural' tarnished. The reason for that is simple, done right, there is no difference. Cheers, RickO
