Snowed in - Seattle - with a Numismatic connection.

Made a snowman with my wife. She made me take off my CRO hat.
Been shopping for coins all day on the internet. Hope this weekends show doesn't get cancelled.

My son has been playing out in the snow but I have been working all day
Even at home, I can do conference calls and email ;(
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
Was going to but thought the slabs would look funny.

That said, I will admit that this is really a pathetic snow storm. A few inches and the city is going to be shut down for days. On the bright side, getting to work at home saves me a lot of driving, so, carry on, weather man!
Spoken like a flat lander - you from the midwest?? If they had 25% street grades in Phily, it would cause problems there too.
way to get the stepchild into numistmatics
oh nm, that is a snowman ><
.

Crack em out....I mean, come on now, it would be for the good of the snowman!!!!

Didn't even try to drive when you can't walk up it.
There is a side trail and it was a three mile walk to the Postal drop box to get the coins on there way today.
Had fun with the new camera.
Would have been a perfect day to shoot coins but I'm still shopping for a copy stand.

Actually, I was in Spokane during the winter of 1968-69. That was some serious snowfall. When Seattle gets a new record, that's the one they will have to beat.

Poor snowman now has your cooties!
Just noticed; 20 for thread, 100 for me!
My new year's resolution is not to jump at every straight line. It's not going to be easy, though.
Doggedly collecting coins of the Central American Republic.

For a long time, that was my favorite beer when I lived in Portland. You have good taste!
It was supplanted by Full Sail's IPA when I moved back to California. I don't know why.

Boy, I missed that softball......
Black Butte - having to cut back. They've really jacked up the price recently.
<< <i>Supposed to go there on Saturday for the BECC show. What are they saying for Saturday's weather? >>
Lots of rain starting tomorrow through at least the weekend.

New Jersey and you knew that. It's not the hills, it's the lack of plows. And shovels. And knowledge of what do to when it snows. The sidewalks by me are flat... and still treacherous to walk over.

Yep 25% grades just mean western wa drivers get it over with faster.
Seen way to many west wa drivers end up on ditches around the tri cities growing up.
To be fair we don't handle traffic and I-5 very well.
(Grew up in pasco, then dayton, by walls walls. Family still lives in pasco and kennewick)
When it flurries here in South Ga everything shuts down for the day. Can't imaging dealing with two or three feet of it for months.
On a side note, is that a boy snowman? The only reason I ask is that apparent appendage on the bottom right. Looks like he might have been "going" when it was snowing.
Too many positive BST transactions with too many members to list.
Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

I love Full Sail IPA, but when in Seattle, it is Mac and Jack's African Amber for me.
We get it for what? 2-3 days per year - sometimes not at all! And there are supposed to be thousands of snow plows standing by??
Different in Minn. where I grew up - snows one day, drifts the next 7. The crews are constantly busy. Me and the snow blower made good money when I was a kid.
Snow person is gender neutral - that's just some "debri" or water picked up while rolling the base. No yellow snow.
Lights flickering this morning - raining on the snowy branches, making them very heavy.

<< <i>July it is - we will have a few BBP's on the patio, if you have the time.
Excellent!

I might fly in with some Dos Equis and a few Cubans. Cigars, not refugees. MJ

Sounds good, either way, except for the Dos Equis.
I'm from Michigan and the snow that shut almost everything down here is just another winter day there.
I was the only one around. Same thing today.

I guess after 15 winters in Minnesota and Alaska, winter is still my favorite time of year.
Mailed a registered package on the 4th to Oregon. I guess it has to go through Seattle first. My shipment has been sitting in Seattle since the 7th. Who knows when delivery will be made.
What usually takes 4 days is now on day 17. Kinda running low on patience with this one.
And, the postal service is losing money. Go figure.
