Trade Dollar Newp and the dog it replaced.

Picked up a new Trade $ for my type set on the BST. It's a little nicer than the one I had...

Not a bad improvement image Thanks to crypto79 for the great coin!

Thanks all. It really fits in for the look I'm going for. I'm trying for nice VF or so on the more expensive coins while moving up in grades to MS on the more common types in the set. I can't afford an all MS set in anything yet I don't want junk circ in the more common types.

Not sure how it will work out but that's my "type set on a budget thinking" at least. I think I'm going to list the holed plugged TD on eBay starting at $0.99 just to see what it brings.

The holed and plugged coin I bought for a little over melt a few years ago just to fill the hole. Along with the hole the thing is just plain ugly. I'm not sure how it got that color but image. I saw this one come up for sale and I just had to have it. It's the perfect look I'm going for with the pre 1900 coins in the set. I'm working on the seated dollars next. Got a dealer buddy looking for a couple of nice raw VF's for me from his stash along with a nice reeded edge bust half.

P.S. No dog, but I'd definitely consider trading my cat for coins because he's mean as hell image

I glad you like it, I got offered a little more (figuring shipping) as trade for the coin but this is the main reason I love the BST. I just rather the coins go directly to fellow collectors.

Thats the kind of look I like for a circ coin. I would be happy to have a complete type set matching that trade dollar.image

I appreciate the consideration crypto. It really is a great coin. Of course I knew it would be coming from you. Now to find some seated dollars that look that good.

Great crusty look to that one. Most of my favorite coins have come from fellow collectors on the BST.

That holed and plugged one brought $61.57 on ebay. I was only expecting about $35 or so. Makes the replacement even cheaper if they don't decide to return it image

    Ebay sale
