Apologize is this was covered but I saw this on another forum.

It appears/alleged that fake 2011 Canadian Maples are in circulation.

    There were pics on kitco that showed the micro-veins and 'skin' in the leaf that the fake didn't have. Would fool a Maple novice though I bet, easily.

    Why would the Chinese crack down on this? They fake everything from make-up to actual cars there and everyone there profits from it :.

    I can see those maples fooling a LOT of people though...

    They faked a COMPLETE Apple store in KUNMING, China...down to the store shirts.

    All the products were copies.

    The employees did not even realize that they did not work for Apple!

    Not sure, but I have been following threads on other sites. I believe the owner of the coin said that they are about 1mm thicker than the real deal.

    Obvious differences in detailing, such as the veins and points of the leaf.

    Also, look at the crossbar on the various letter A's.
