  Unfortunately, when you have to mint millions of coins with a single die it necessitates ultra low relief.
  
  and pretty much nothing looks good in ultra low relief.
  
  the mint could resurrect frasier/st gaudens/etc and once they created sculpture to the mints current specifications and reduced it, it would look like garbage.
  
  in my humble opinion

  Sell me a coin or three!

  I don't agree. Paper is easier to carry. I wouldn't buy them. They are creepy looking and I don't care for them one bit.

  I have a whole bunch of presidential silver ingots. I don't remember the exact weight of each of them, but I do have a whole set of proof silver presidential ingots. Really quite neat. They were given to me from my Grandpa probably about 20 years ago. I don't know anymore about them.

  Those are nice medallions... however, for several reasons, they would never make them on circulating coins... cost, wear, and above all... they truly look nice.. our 'design by committee' process ensures we will not have any coins of true artistic significance anymore. Cheers, RickO

  I bet they wouldn't. Not that those wouldn't be nice looking coins, I just don't think people will give up a paper dollar in favor of a coin.

  i have had the displeasure of seeing these from multiple countries and they are nearly sickening, utilitarian and inexpensive to make proabably
