Priority mail 25th Eagle set delivery damage

I just got my second 25th ann. silver eagle set in the mail yesterday and I knew I was in trouble when the package was handed over to me.
The side of the mailing box had a 3" long and 2" wide opening in it, when I opened the coin box to inspect the coins I noticed a chunk of wook broken off it.
All of the coins were loose inside the box and the 2011-S had actually came out of the plastic holder it was in, luckily it didn't have any marks on it after close examination under 5 power magnification and the rest of the coins including the reverse proof were mark and spot free.
All I can say is this set was sent priority mail and looked like it had been run over by the delivery truck. All coins I have mailed have been sent registered and there has never been a problem with damaged coins or containers the coins were in. I now know I will NEVER use priority to EVER mail anything of mine, just thought I'd give a heads up to others considering using priority mail.

Was this a sealed set in mint packaging?
I used to be famous now I just collect coins.

No I bought this set from someone who had kept it out of the sets ordered from the mint but for whatever reason decided to sell his last set.
I do not blame the seller as there were packing peanuts inside the box and plenty of padding, it appeared to me that the people hadling the mail chose to throw it around, drop kick it and possibly lay on it...no wonder the postal service is going broke with bufoons like this handling the mail!!!
