Once again, do these look like the same coin?

Unfortunately, this is from the same eBay seller as my last post, and is also a raw problem coin that appears that it may have been won very recently on Teletrade in a problem slab (NGC UNC details, Improperly Cleaned). Sellers description:

Very rare date 97-S DMPL , Stunning CAMEOS , Looks Solid GEM. We are listing loads of coins from a Private Collection both Raw and Slabbed . From a very picky collector , GREAT STUFF!!

Raw eBay Morgain

Teletrade Morgan

My last post was a whizzed Large Cent bought and sold in the same manner....

"Exactly."

You can see the remaining of the shadow from the prongs in the reverse picture that they tried to crop out.

    Same coin.

Is there an easy way to add him to an e-Bay ignore list?

Again . . . noted. I won't be bidding on any more Doilies or anything else from this seller.

  • Not cool. He didn't even take the time to try to cover it up! Obviously the photo is of the coin still in the holder.

Well, he is already up to 50 percent profit compared to the Teletrade sale price. Hope it gets nuked.

+1 I had purchased a certified coin (PCGS PL Morgan) from him before, and I definitely won't be bidding on any more of his items.
  • There is no question....... that is definitely the same coin. This guy will be tough to stop because all his listings are "private", thus, the buyers can not be alerted to this scam. Ebay needs to stop allowing private listings.

I always hope people get temporarily driven to dishonesty by circumstance and have no other recourse.

... and then there are some people that are simply dishonest.

History of this seller seems to indicate it is standard practice.... scam artist.... Cheers, RickO

A review of "mississippi-pickers" eBay user ID history shows no less than 10 different ID's used in 10 years. Looks like a lame attempt to cover up some "muddy" tracks. image

Was this seller the "Savannah Seller" or Savannah Something discussed several years ago?
I used to be somebody, now I'm just a coin collector.
Recipient of the coveted "You Suck" award, April 2009 for cherrypicking a 1833 CBHD LM-5, and April 2022 for a 1835 LM-12, and again in Aug 2012 for picking off a 1952 FS-902.
