we exchanged gifts with my younger daughter and her boyfriend this evening. he knows my interests and combined two with this gift. he gave me a coin set commemorating dale earnhardt. he knew i like coins and nascar racing and found a gift that fi
t both interests. as i popped the coins out i got a nice surprise as the half was a 1951 S franklin. Merry Christmas Peter.

Today, I received my order from the mint for 2 MS Army $5 and 2 MS Medal of Honor $5. In hand, the Army coin looks better than the photos/drawings I've seen of it. The MOH is one of the best designs ever for any modern commemorative $5 gold.

Received ebay gift cards and a Dodger ballcap from my filmmaker daughter who flew in from LA to be with her Florida family. The gifts were just icing on the cake of having her here. Seems like just yesterday she was diagnosed with MS while a senior at FSU film school. Took a lot of guts for her to drive to Hollywood to follow her dream. Her health has held up and hard work in her chosen profession has rewarded her. Prayers do get answered.

Wife says that I am hard to buy gifts for.

She truly surprised me with a metal detector with all the trappings. Not an expensive one, but will definitely be fun.

Researched MD's and found that one should start in your own yard. Found a 1979 D Lincoln late tonight. Kids could not believe I actually found anything.

I lost my dad this year. We got coins for each other every Christmas. My mom knows nothing of coins so she told me to choose my own. Got this one on the BST (from coinkid855). It was a wonderful transaction (as all of my BST purchases have been).

I only opened one gift so far, and it was a Starbucks gift card. So I went to Starbucks this morn and handed out Peace Pipe golden dollar coins to the baristas, and to a lady doctor who had just delivered a little Christmas miracle of just over a pound, and to a homeless guy bumming smokes outside.
