"The War to End all Wars" (or not)

In the post-WWI era we ushered in a new era of peace by minting a dollar with that key element part of her design: Peace

Why then was there a second World War enabling a soldier, presumably 'Lawrence Klein' of Brooklyn, NY, to engrave this Peace Dollar with all of his WWII destinations: Cuba, Hawaii, Nome Alaska?? Oh, the irony.....

Now that is a great coin... we often say "I wish this coin could talk.".... Well, here is one that literally 'speaks to us'.... great find. Cheers, RickO
