Drunner's Semi-Annual (No Doilies Involved)

Sorry if you are looking for specific numismatic content. I don't have any new die variety announcement or scheme to flip 25th Anniversary stuff . . . so I'll lose a lot of you right now.
But, for those of you who stayed past the first sentence, consider the following for a moment.
LordMarcovan tonight continued the gestures that many have done before, in times of trouble, times of need, and just times we need a bit of a chance to learn, talk, or commiserate. He worked out a fun little opportunity for some of us to participate in a raffle for charity. Not the first (Jeremy), and not the last (???), but another in a long line of 'good' things that happens here. We still have a bit of time to go before the holidays, but let me have just a moment to 'posi - rant'.
I am thankful for many things here on the Boards . . .
Oreville for his wise advice . . .
NotSure for his friendship and being that 'son I never had'
KryptoniteComics for superb pix of NGC 2.0s and 2.1s that make me green with envy (and help in finding cool slabs)
BajjerFan for the continued Doily banter and great one-liners ... twin sons of different mothers!

Astrorat . . for his sage comments, reasoned and measured help to all, and friendship to many

MustangGT, stealer, LanceNewmanOCC, Casman, Bochiman, TAMU15, TomB, Harry779, blu62vette, Dimeman, joebb21, golfer72, morgantype, and others, who have helped me in my searches with no recognition at all . .
. . . and many others who come and go here who teach, mentor, and direct our learning and fun. Charmy . . . braddick (Pat), STONE, BaseballAbs, Lakesammman, UtahCoin, CoinsAreFun, CaptHenway (how much does it weigh, by the way???), Lkeigwin (Lance--keep the shiny side up), and soooooooooo many more. You all make this a rich and rewarding experience. We all benefit from your posts, and the posts of many others who I have not mentioned.
Think of all the good you do here, Think of all the fun people have because of your efforts. Think of all the learning that goes on, the opinions that are offered, and the bonds that are made . . . all through the efforts of people who in many cases will never meet (NotSure, that doesn't get you off the hook). I have been the fortunate recipient of many good gestures from those above and others who (out of the sheer goodness of their hearts) make an effort to do something for me that they don't have to. I see this repeated often on these Boards. This is a 'good' place where many become better, and few leave unsatisfied.
Bravo to you all. Through thick and thin . .we are here. Through tragedy and triumph . .we are here. It is a team. Many personalities and many collecting directions make us what we are . . .and we should relish that concept.
Have a Happy Holiday Season . . . and every time you post . . . think of what you can do to help the community that has become . . ."The Boards".

When I read those words, they literally made my heart jump....those aren't words that are spoken easily, and they are not taken lightly by me....that comment hit deep, bud! Thats a compliment that compares to no other compliment I've ever gotten (and when you play in front of thousands of people in the course of a season, and everyone is hugging you and patting you on the back for bringing home yet another State Championship, well, your's is one I will NEVER EVER forget, honestly, Jeff).
