Did anyone's 2011 Anniversary sets actually come in tact?

I just bought a sealed box off of a guy with 5 sets in them and I can hear that some of the eagles escaped their cages and are rattling around. This happened also on the 5 sets I received. Of course, i'm not opening the boxes as they are getting ready to be sent off for the early you know what bs. Has anyone gotten a box in tact? I'm not sure how many are flying around inside the box because obviously it is sealed. Hopefully, they aren't getting dinged up inside, but with NGC throwing out 70's left and right I guess it doesn't mattter if they get dinged up because it is still a 70. lol

What have others on tihs board experienced with their shipments??

Two of my order of 5 in a box were fine, the other three were scattered about.

Both of my sets each had two or three coins (in their plastic holders) floating around the box.

Actually, they prolly just assume it was a 70 before it got set free and grade it accordingly.

some of my boxes rattle. i also heard of 2 instances where each of the 5 coins were not received (2 of this and none of that), can't remember specifics though, did this happen to anyone here?

I haven't opened any of my boxes, but two of my boxes have no sliders while the majority of mine have a few rattling around.

    I had 3 shipments:

2 sets - opened - all were fine

    2 sets - unopened - no noise

    1 set - unopened - no noise

So, all of mine arrived fine.

I'm guessing mine were flying around inside the box, seeing as I didn't get any 70's and got 2 68's in a single set of 5 coins! Uggh. Oh well, they are still really pretty.

I have 5 sets in the box but not yet opened. Shaking the box produces no sounds though I will not continue shaking and therefore pushing my luck. These were however, last strike aquisitions so maybe they learned how to pack them. We will have to wait another decade or so to see how they did. You know, when I get $10k or so per set in the sealed box......

Second party, heard some individual coin movement, but not enough to become tensed up about. Grading could become another issue, of course. Seems the whole dang unopened adventure is an adventure, no? At what point does one say, too much movement? Can one tell the difference between a naked coin sliding around and an encapsulated coin doing so? I'd think an encapsulated coin could still be a 70, right?

Just went through a set of my brothers...the No Mint Mark was loose in the box, but, the airtite was together...how does that happen?

Between myself, my father, and three friends we received 25 sets. Only two coins in one set were loose. In both of those cases, the coins remained in the capsules.

My one set had two that were loose, still in their capsules. Don't remember which two, but they look fine. image

very difficult for a US mint capsule to come open on its own if it was completely closed by the person putting the coin in it. If you've ever opened one you know what I mean. Almost as if they were vacuum sealed. Also, the tight fit of the coin in mint capsules pretty much prevents damage to coin even when capsule bounces around during shipment. If you have never opened one I suggest you give it a try.

nothing audible when shaken (not stirred)

all 5 of my sets had 2-3 loose capsules in the blue boxes, mostly the end coins.

several of the airtites were loose, including those still in the display, none had opened.
