Very close to terminal die state Conder - I just love this one!

This one is very pretty in hand!

As is this one

Another interesting one...

This one is quite scarce...

A rare off metal Conder

Very nice! I like the near-terminal piece.... dramatic.

How actively are condors collected in the UK?

kaz · December 9, 2011 11:26PM

What a cool group. On the first one, the contrast between the cracked obverse and the distorted perspective on the reverse is intriguing.

There are some extensive collections squirreled away there. Lot's of folks collect circulated pieces and shy away from the UNC's in the UK.

Charmy, I own the first piece and the last piece pictured and they are amounts my favorites. Congrat's! MJ

how many 'makers' were producing these?

ricko · December 10, 2011 2:09AM

I have always found these to be very interesting.... never owned one, but came close on a few occasions. Now, since there are NO coin shows near here, I no longer have the temptation (and I would not buy these without actually seeing them in hand). Cheers, RickO
