With all the nice CBH's being posted, thought I would throw one up just for fun ... what do you think?

I like it! I'll bet it has nice luster and color, in spite of an old dip.

Hard to say from the pix. 58 or 64. Great surfaces.

I'd say 64. Doesn't look like wear to me based on these images.

MS 62

63 or 64. The photo is a bit flat looking to really assess luster and surfaces. But it looks 64 to me.

I am in the 64 camp but agree that if graded on a bad day or if there is rub not evident in the pics that would be distinguished from strike weakness via break in luster then she may well be 58.

STONE · December 11, 2011 12:28AM

63 is reasonable - I don't see any obvious signs of wear

JRocco · December 11, 2011 2:58AM

Looks like some luster breaks on the rim but none on the surface so I would go with a MS coin with some friction marks.
As to grade, I can't see the surfaces properly but from what I could see I would be happy in the 64 camp.

AngryTurtle · December 11, 2011 3:18AM

From the pic it looks like there is a possibility of a technical 58, ever so slight wear on a haircurl or two and the eagles left (viewers) wing, but I think it's a 64.

scoobydeux · December 11, 2011 3:42AM

Solid 64. The weakness on the reverse precludes a higher grade. Possiblby hidden bagmarks on whiter coins where the pic is taken to emphaize the luster is always a haunting specter as well.

Thanks for playing!

Maybe its undergraded or maybe not,but either way thats a beautiful Bust half that would/should bring strong money for the grade.

edit: Looks deserving of a GOLD sticker.

TexasNationals · December 11, 2011 10:30AM

Looks right to me, 58 for a circulated good looking coin like that is as high as you can go.
