So that's 100% proof.
<< <i>I have looked over a LOT, I MEAN A LOT of them (well 2 of each anyway) and from what I can tell, the 2011 non mintmarked coins in my 2 25th ann sets have the same dimple as the 2011 s in the 25th ann set. But the non mintmarked 2011 SAEs I purchased out of a tube don't have the same dimple.
So that's 100% proof.
These are the encapsulated "S" no S mintmark coins from SanFransico.....as to what I asking...What's the difference...

Please see the main thread discussing them here:

<< <i>....are these the same as the monster box coins ???? 2011 s s >>
According to at least one or two posters in the thread that I linked to, the answer is NO. The MB faux 'S' labeled bullion coin from earlier this year does not have the dimple tail feather according to what I've seen people say. I don't have one on hand to confirm this, but I have no reason to believe the prior posters were lying. Bump one of those threads if you still want to know more

No. The coins struck for this set from the S.F. Mint occurred in September & October. The regular bullion version ASE's were struck beginning in May and I believe ended in August when West Point, once again, was the only facility producing them.
I carefuly examined the E Pluribus Unum on the ribbons on all 3 coins and came to a conclusion the the S and no S coins are VERY similar except for the S mint mark... JMO..
The no S mm from the 25th appears different..
<< <i>Since the mint seems unwilling to guarantee that all 100,000 of these coins used in the sets were struck in SF isn't it sort of like beating a dead horse? Someone gonna examine 25,000 of these coins to show there are no exceptions and that all 25,000 have the dimple? >>
Despite the COA statement, The SF Mint struck all coins ( Per CW) and Tom Jurkowsky, director of the US Mint's Office of Public Affairs and that the Mint has no plans to reprint the COA's with the correct information.

That's NOT true. Tom Jurkowsky (msp?) has confirmed every coin was specially struck for the set at SF.
[edit -- Looks like OPA already posted
<< <i>But PCGS is refusing to accept that fact and going by the COA? >>
It's not clear if PCGS will ever start attributing the bullion coins from the set with the (S) designation, but that is their decision and doesn't negate what the mint has restated now a couple of times. The COA muddied things up causing PCGS to state they would not give the coin the 'S' designation, but the mint has since stated on more than one occasion that every single bullion coin was made at the S mint for this set. The mint has made this crystal clear now. Honestly I would be pleased if PCGS were to drop the faux labeling IMO as a slab shouldn't have a mint on it if it's not on the coin. It's ridiculous IMO...
<< <i>But PCGS is refusing to accept that fact and going by the COA? >>
perhaps when the mint issues the corrected COA???
they already stated that the COA was printed before the coins were minted, and is incorrect.
<< <i>Well I don't have an early SAE from West Point..all I can deduce is that the SAE from a SanFransico monster box with no "S" appears to be the SAME as the 25th Anniversary with an"S" mm >>
i looked at all of mine, none with dimples. proofs as well.
your's is the first i've read of a confirmed comparison of the bullion (S) to the 25th anniv set (S).
