Tough coins! I kept a few (3) early quarters in my collection, too, so I know these aren't always readily available.

You could send that in for an upgrade. It should grade VF easy.

I have owned these two pieces for over 20 years.

    1796 Browning 2

1807 Browning 2. This piece is of some importance to die variety collectors because it is an early die state.

    imageimage

And here are the next two types.

    Capped Bust, Large Planchet

    Reduced Size Quarter, Capped Bust

Back when I bought that piece in the mid 1980s I showed that piece to very well known dealer, who recently won a major award from the ANA. He too agreed that it was "perfect" for the grade and offered me a $500 profit on it. I turned him down since it was for my collection. More than 20 years later he asked me if I still had the piece, which really amazed me. This dealer handles millions of dollars worth of coins a year, and yet he remembered this piece from two decades ago. Simply amazing. image

to bring it back to everyman-type coins now that it's Monday and most of us have to go back to work image
this one was one of my first dbqs

    image

when I consider the unique history of each of these old coins, the people who used them and all the things they bought over the years,
it's with a sense of wonder that they cost less than last year's special ASE coins that have 99,999 others exactly alike them

    Pretty!

ones that have been through the wringer

do you mean, "ones that are very rich with the history of many many early American transactions"? image
