How many got an e-mail from E-bay?

TennesseeDaveTennesseeDave Posts: 4,895 ✭✭✭✭✭
Yesterday I got an e-mail from E-bay saying I could list one item free from insertion fees and final value fees. Sounds like a great chance to sell a big ticket item.(Sealed 25th ann. sets) How many also got this and plan to take advantage of it? There are certain items that are exluded such as cars and such, but I'm pretty sure coins aren't excluded.

WOW!! One whole item? I generally get offered one day a month where you can list all day for free, and one day all you want for 1 cent for auction style.

But, no, i did not get an offer for one freebee.

I rceived it, too. I have NEVER sold a thing on eBay, either!

And freebie or not, I don't intend to. Too many horror stories
here. Enough to kill my interest.

That's the sad thing about the internet clearing house for horror stories. I've sold close to 20,000 items on ebay in the past 4 years. I've had a few minor issues but never lost a dime to a scammer. Only losses I can think of are a couple of international packages that never arrived. Total of about $100. nobody posts "Today I sold some items on ebay and had no problems."

Sold on eBay for 11 years...never had a "scam" problem. A few non paying bidders, but that's far & in between. I've also heard that 12/21/2012 is going to be the end of usimage

    I received it.

After reading the horror stories here and being personally acquainted with several dealers who used to do huge amounts on eBay and now have given up, I think I'll just search for Doilies and call it good.

BUT, have you ever before seen an exclusion from Final Value Fees? I haven't. Wish I'd gotten the email.
Have bought and sold on BST, many references available when asked.

I didn't get one. Just make sure it's not a scam trying to get your account credentials...

You can always log into My eBay to see if it's in your received mail. If not, it's not legit.
