I had a tougher time photographing the obverse than I did the reverse, but both sides have magnificant toning and luster!!!

<< <i>So you want to make a reasonable profit on it -- how about $38.00?
Me might talk after I send it in
Stone - I went with AU 58 because there has got to some rub on the coin
somewhere - somehow - a coin doesn't remain unscathed after all these
years in the possession of a non collector without something happening to it.
Thanks for letting me know prior to your final bidding. Just amazing.
Ok - my top bid was $67.50 - and it still stands.

I will tweak with the image some more, but will let this one sit for the time being!

It's all dirty.....
...MS64......

I'll second the notion. 36$? I'm gettin' too old for this chit.
But I don't think you'd see a rub that large and yet zero on her cheek, neck, cap, wreath as well as the eagle's wing tips, claws, head and neck. The fields look fully lustrous and clean too.
If there is some minute rub on it I think it would be a non-issue if the field luster were full and generally from scuffing and tics. Most AU58's have fields that are heavily chattered and
luster missing in the centers. Don't see that here. Very fortunate pick up.
I wish my local dealers still graded coins like this as XF.

If MS, I think the best it could be is MS-64 since there are no major hits, especially none in the main focal areas.
I got this coin on eBay. It was a crappy pic and was only a 24-hour auction, so I took a chance!

<< <i>Great deal! Seller with zero feedback and probably zero knowledge. My kind of seller
Yeh, looks like you found the link to the auction!

The poll only went to 66, maybe he thought it was higher

I grade it YOU SUCK, that's how I grade it.
Nice toning and color. Made it really tough to determine anything from the pictures, though. So I threw a dart at the wall and said AU58. (Can't tell if it is a slider or MS based on the pictures.) For the money you paid, whofreakincares? Wow. Did I tell you you suck? Oh, yeah, I guess I already did.

You should have waited 15 days before posting!

<< <i>Thanks all for participating. I voted AU-58 to be conservative because I think I see "some" wear, but it's difficult to tell from strike and toning!

dip it and send it in a few times, you will get the grade you want
I think your toning is original but both TPG's have been way over the top on kicking back toned coins and penalized a lot of original toned coins being ultra-conservative recently.
I look forward to seeing what you get back. Good luck and I hope I am wrong and being too conservative.
