Pics are dark and makes seeing hair and feather detail difficult. 55 would be my guess. Nice pick up for $36.

The pic makes the coin look a little dark in color than what is real life. I may do some tweaking on the image.

So you want to make a reasonable profit on it -- how about $38.00? image

What a score!! Nice original looking piece from the photos. Is that a touch of rub I see on the cheek? AU58?

Stone - I went with AU 58 because there has got to some rub on the coin
somewhere - somehow - a coin doesn't remain unscathed after all these
years in the possession of a non collector without something happening to it.

Thanks for letting me know prior to your final bidding. Just amazing.
Ok - my top bid was $67.50 - and it still stands.

The image is making the coin come out more "yellow-ey" than I would like...at least on my monitor
I will tweak with the image some more, but will let this one sit for the time being!

VERY nice pickup, Winston! I voted MS63, but it could very easily be AU58. Either way, it's PRETTY! image

Beautiful Barber quarter. Could be 58 or 64! Or anything in between I guess. But if it's UNC. It has to be 63 or 64.

I picked MS63 but feel it could grade anything from 62 to 64. There's no sign of rub that I can see. The only questionable spot might be the deeper toning on Liberty's forelock.
But I don't think you'd see a rub that large and yet zero on her cheek, neck, cap, wreath as well as the eagle's wing tips, claws, head and neck. The fields look fully lustrous and clean too.
If there is some minute rub on it I think it would be a non-issue if the field luster were full and generally from scuffing and tics. Most AU58's have fields that are heavily chattered and
luster missing in the centers. Don't see that here. Very fortunate pick up.

I wish my local dealers still graded coins like this as XF. image

Thanks all for participating. I voted AU-58 to be conservative because I think I see "some" wear, but it's difficult to tell from strike and toning!
If MS, I think the best it could be is MS-64 since there are no major hits, especially none in the main focal areas.

I got this coin on eBay. It was a crappy pic and was only a 24-hour auction, so I took a chance! image

I grade it YOU SUCK, that's how I grade it. image

Nice toning and color. Made it really tough to determine anything from the pictures, though. So I threw a dart at the wall and said AU58. (Can't tell if it is a slider or MS based on the pictures.) For the money you paid, whofreakincares? Wow. Did I tell you you suck? Oh, yeah, I guess I already did.

I graded MS 64. Very nice coin as we can see in the photo. People saw a very large photo of one of mine and said it should be an AU 55-58 because of perceived "obvious scuffs or other types of marks" on the coin. When in fact, since the image was so large, the "marks" were actually breaks in the skin. And this was taken by one of the best photographers in the buieiness. The coins rests in a Pop 1 MS 67+ Secure Plus holder. My bis is $150, a 400% profit. How about it? GREAT YOU SUCK score as it appears to me! Ray

I like the look from the picture. I do believe there is going to be a bit more wear underneath the toning so I am going with 55. It also wouldn't surprise me if you got it back in a code 91 or 92 Genuine holder.

I think your toning is original but both TPG's have been way over the top on kicking back toned coins and penalized a lot of original toned coins being ultra-conservative recently.

I look forward to seeing what you get back. Good luck and I hope I am wrong and being too conservative. image
