Chattanooga Coin has 2011 anniversary 70 sets for $4400 in coinworld

I wonder if they just made a market in these? If coin world readers see they are offering them for $4400 and they see one one ebay for $3900, do they jump all over the $3900 thinking they are getting a deal? My realistic prediction was $2000 to $3000 for the 70 sets in the first few months.

In case anyone missed it, these things are made of silver, not gold, and the mintage was set at 100,000 which does not make it a rarity.

dont be surprised if they sell some, 5-70's.......you know one of those will be the key together with the label (ever try buying a 2006 Gold $50 Regular Proof in Anniversary Set/FS labeling PR70 DCAM cheap? )

in 2006 the 69-70-70 silver sets were above that mark for a month or so......

I guesstimate a pcgs 70 set @ 3 grr and 69 set @ 800. No facts, no links, JMHO. image

If you buy a 70 set from them, they'll charge you the stated price, then ship off a set of 69's...They are scammers...

I seem to recall that they had some extremely bad press several years ago.
Can't remember exactly what they did (or did not) do.
I see their ads in Coin World and they seem to charge high prices, almost equal to the guys on the cable TV coin shows.

Their gig is they will offer good deals on graded coins. When your order arrives, it's the old switcheroo, they send the wrong coins, and they do it on purpose, returns are also a PITA with them, shipping losses etc...

I will never do business with them ever again, yup I was scammed.
