Commit To A Deal, Keep It

I'm old school and expect people to live up to their obligations. If you don't keep your word, you've no place on these boards. Misinterpretation of a deal is one thing or if a meeting of the minds is not reached but I'm seeing more and more people backing out of deals for no valid reason other than a rising or falling market. Scammers and idiots make my life difficult enough as is, so please don't add another level to my woes.

If I may? I'd like to add if you're going to make an offer, at least be in the damn ball park...not 65% below what it may be worth even on the low end.
Please make a fair and reasonable offer is all I'm asking. Thank you.

I'd rather get those offers than no offer... it's really easy to just say no if they're too low. But sometimes, a deal can be made after some discussion.

A gamble was taken by any buyer of more than 5 sets - the buyer knows they are relying on the member's family/friend/neighbor to uphold their end of the bargain. The trick is to find buyers that don't use eBay or read coin forums...

Will honor my promise to local dealer. At least I will have other sets for myself.

I had promised to sell mine and my brother's sealed boxes. Now my brother wants to renig. >>

And, that's why, when I help my friends sell "flips", I don't commit until my friend has it in-hand and it is coming to me to send off. I have done that, with MCM, Wondercoin, and others, a few times, and all completed because I don't do unless in-hand when I am not just doing it myself.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

I quit the commit thing a few issues ago do to circumstance beyond my control. Mainly some friends forgetting to 'do not open the package'. Three times burned by eating the profits to cover the commitment. It's easier to take the chances and do the resell myself. When it works it works great, sometimes when it doesn't your rep and profit will be gone through no fault of your own. So it not always cut and dry, stuff happens, especially when using people not really in the know gathering product.

Well put. Those who back out know who they are.

I for one will not deal with anyone who backed out on a deal. No Integrity = No Deal

Lots of good folks on the board that hold up to their commitments.

Good advice. I have a long time co-worker/friend who is now hedging over these 25th Anniv SAE sets. Knows nothing about coins and has been more than
happy to hand over sealed boxes for easy money.... until now. All of a sudden not happy with the deal I have already made because of eBay induced greed.

Lesson learned. And of course I will honor the half of the deal that involves my sets.

Never again , until in-hand from FAF!
