    1. Go into about:config

    2. Look for network.http.max-connections

    3. Change value of 256 to 48

    4. Close Firefox

    5. Reboot your machine

    6. Almost all of your problems with loss of speed, etc. should be resolved.

You're right, Bob. I just don't want to spend a lot on the new FF upgrade

Same here. For most stuff with a new puter, IE8 is as good as anything else.

One can go into control panel, add/remove programs and remove FF. There is the option to keep your settings/bookmarks/preferences/etc. Then go out and Google a particular version that you want to install, download it, install and presto you are back in biz. DO NOT ENABLE the automatically download and update feature.

Have you noticed how many of my comments went "poof?"

Also, where is our dear ANA Board of Director, on this Board, since Larry offered to take a lie detector and made his statement to Coin World?

All nine of the current Board, including the "older gods," IMHO, should call for a new election and resign after the results are announced.

Firefox is my backup when IE9.0 fails. Firefox has about a 90% success rate for me when IE9.0 fails. I guess it depends on where you choose to surf on the efficacy or your chosen web browser.

    Cheers!

I take back that I said the new version didn't cause any problems!
After a few days I noticed it was slower and hanging up a lot so I looked in my drive and saw I had the old download for 3.62 and reverted and it solved the hangups and it even works for the search function on here. image
