The ebay handle indicates someone is having fun.
  • For $15k, I would fly there and pick it up. ;-)

zero feedback. Like Lee said, not a chance.

How is the item in Georgia, US but shipping is "from outside US"?

I am so finished with feebay. What a PITA. Stopped selling / buying there in Feb. 2011.

Hijacked accts, fraud, jump through hoops to resolve problems, the buyer is always right, excessive fees.

Protect your seller ratings at all costs.

Good idea in concept that worked well when it started and now is too large for itself now.

All good things come to an end.

Yea right....not a chance it will be sold.

By the way, I'm selling $100 bills for $25. Anyone want to send me $25??image

Did you have any problems yourself or are you just scared by all you read? Modern internet communications mixing truth and fiction, along with a bit of exaggeration, combined with a hard to comprehend divisor (most don't realize how unlikely each of these stories is statistically) scares a lot of people off who have never had a problem.

$25 is in the mail. I'm betting you won't sell your reputation for $75. --jerry

I didn't accuse you of anything, just asked and described what happens to many. I'm taking it you're responding to stories. This is unfortunate for ebay sellers like me. --jerry

Yeah, I flew off the handle at the statistical part.

I'll just say that the evidence of ebay fraud and account hijacking conducted on ebay is well documented on this forum, it exists to the point that I don't want to participate anymore in the ebay community.

I will say I got played by a buyer on ebay once.

Nothing I could do. End of story. Statistically, this is unacceptable. image

If you are selling on feebay, I wish you luck, ME? I'm out.

Stopped buying on eBay roughly three years ago.. maybe four... In the early years I bought a lot off eBay. I did get burned twice just before I quit.... enough is enough. Cheers, RickO
  • I have been buying coins on ebay for years. Never had a problem.

Well documented but exaggerated and overdiscussed. I strongly suspect that many of the "I got ripped off" threads conveniently omit the fact that they got greedy and ignored red flags. I've had over 10,000 sales and hundreds of purchases in the past 4 years with no problems other than the occasional chargeback. scammers existed before ebay and still do exist off the net. Frankly, I would suspect a higher percentage of the people knocking on your door are scammers than those you do business with on ebay. but nobody posts those stories. --Jerry

Ah yes. Just bought a $5 89-W gold Congress from Hayden here and some silver from Au and Ag. Each yet another perfect, effortless, properly conducted transaction. This place is an island of tranquility in a very stormy sea. Thanks to all.
Many, many perfect transactions with other members. Ask please.
