Any recommendations for the Best photo editing software available at the most affordable price??? I'm tired of my limited 2005 Nikon photo edit package and need something simple but with a lot of editing features. Thanks!

If you just need to make some light adjustments, etc, Photoshop Lightroom is quite nice, and it's far more affordable than Photoshop. A lot of the Photoshop folks even use it for the simpler adjustments because of its ease of use. It is also quite good I hear for storage/organization for your photos.
If you happen to be a student, you can get Photoshop at an enormous education discount.
It isn't hugely packed ... but I'm not sure what features you are looking for
for crops, edits, layers, sizing, formatting, compressing and slight color / appreance corrections, it's simple, and again ... free

How do you add the slab insert label on photoscape as I didn't think this was possible
.
it may be possible but i am guessing that photoscape was just used to round crop the obv/rev

<< <i>How the heck do you get your images from your camera to this photoscape? It's all new to me...Thanks for any help....Joe >>
there are multiple ways
i personally use "snip" that is a free program that comes with windows
once i "snip" the obv/rev image i use copy and paste into photoscape
i bet you can just drag your original "unsnipped" images right into the program
.
.
you can also probably use the menu to upload the images,
probably other ways but really, copy paste takes like 1-2 seconds

Periodically Office Depot or Staples offers Elements 9 for sale. I picked it up at Staples for $40.

Thanks, got it. Now all I need to do is figure out how to use the circle crop....
The software I'm using (an ancient Win95 program called MGI Photosuite SE) has "select by ellipse", which enables me to select a (roughly) circular area around a coin, with some trial and error. How do people do these perfect circle selections and then paste their coins onto a custom background, like in a TrueView picture? They must have more sophisticated software. What I have to do is repeatedly select roughly circular areas around the coin, "Invert Selection", and then "Cut" so it cuts out the area around the coin rather than the coin itself. Then I use Paint to resize the images as necessary. Neither Paint nor MGI Photosuite are sufficient for all my needs, but I've become pretty proficient in using the two in tandem.
And which program do the screenshots above come from?

i exclusively use the standard paint program that comes with windows

i downloaded some other programs in this thread but haven't used em yet, my setup has worked for over 40,000 photos and counting
although the newest version of paint with win7 is much more advanced than it's predecessors

to use the "overlay" feature, ie pasting an image over another image cleanly,
in paint with win7 it is called "transparent selection"
.
in case i didn't mention it i use "snip" which is also a free windows program
