Larry Shapiro Rare Coins is pleased to announce the addition of numismatist John Ruiz to the firm's staff. John has over fourteen years of experience in the rare coin industry, having served as a cataloger, consignment director and numismatist for a major auction house, and as a dealer on the national show circuit. John has assisted numerous collectors in selling their material through auctions and has built a reputation for carrying eye appealing coins in his inventory at shows. His specialties include attractively toned silver dollars, classic commemoratives, mint state and proof type, proof coins from 1936-1942 and many classic series, including Buffalo Nickels and Walking Liberty Half Dollars. Prior to his time in the coin business, John worked in retail management and as an information technology consultant, working for companies that placed strong emphasis on providing excellent customer service. This is a very important area of expertise for Larry Shapiro Rare Coins, where clients are treated with the utmost care and respect, and excellent service is provided every time, every transaction.
Larry Shapiro Rare Coins specializes in Morgan and Peace Dollars, Walking Liberty Half Dollars and Proof Type Coins ranging from $30 to $50,000. We believe that every collector should be able to find nice coins they can afford. We attend 15-17 major shows a year and participate in all major auctions.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
Now double the reason to venture to see Larry.
