where do you get prices for your coins?
Just a quick question/ poll. Where do you find your prices to sell your coins at? What would you consider fair? I usually use the highest sale price realized at Heritage (Always in the same year).

Ditto. Why limit yourself to just one source?

If a person is buying or selling a coin that is worth more than $100 I think they are silly NOT to consult more than one source.
Not really looking for much these days but if I were, it might be a toner.

In other words, you are looking for "the greater fool". I would think some form of data smoothing over several sales would yeild a more "market like price". One high data point does not really represent sane reality, of course, it depends on fast you want to sell things, and if you are willing to let the market catch up to your expections. If you have held the coins for a while and have a nice profit, why worry over capturing the highest price IF it take too long to sell and you factor in your cost of selling, like time, effort and general PITA factors.
OR
put em on eBay and go for "The Rip"

For my personal collection, for kicks, I like to compare the prices of large cents from the big auctions, and from the big EAC dealer websites,
so I can feel wealthy
