Is anyone going to pick one up? I really like the work they did on the horse's face; it looks so lifelike! The reverse with the riders is nice, too.

Quite the opposite, normally he had problems when away from his wife and family.
this series is the only one I try to get 70's on all of them. (although I also put together a 69 set in proof) I have sent in clean and frost break free coins only to have them all come back 69's.
lately it has been tough to do that. It has me considering dropping the series altogether.

Nice to see you've grown your hair back

She kept him from drinking, and travelled with him often on his campaigns. She was famously captured by the Confederates outside of Vicksburg, but even Beauregard thought the better of keeping her as a pawn - and directed his troops to send her on her way. I do believe she should be recognised for contributions to the war effort - by keeping her husband in the collar.
Has anyone's Grant First Spouse Shipped Yet???
Right now Julia Tyler unc is it and I have one.
<< <i>I'll wait until sales nearly end, then jump in if it becomes the new key.

That's a tricky game to play with rising bullion prices. Grant or Eliza Johnson? They're both available-- Eliza has a shade under 2k sold Unc. If they got pulled for repricing I'm not sure Eliza would be back.

FS/AGE/AGB repricing usually take place on Wed 12:00ET. Usually in less than 1 hour and they will come back. I would not worry about them not coming back.

Wow that's some good info-- I had no idea. Thanks! (I may pull the trigger before Wednesday on Eliza)

Her eyes were crossed, but he loved her dearly.
Given Grant's inability to survive financially at any time other than when he was killing Rebels or was President of the United States, I’d say she put up with a lot.
Still as I’ve written many times before, why do these ladies deserve to appear on a commemorative U.S. coin? The short answer is the vast majority of them do not.
<< <i>I'm in on this ugly hag and just ordered one to keep to my First Strike deadline (I think Aug 7th). But this time I ordered via the phone so I could request USPS (no more UPS for this guy!). By default online orders only ship UPS if I'm not mistaken. I think with the POG and any possible increases, and the fact these coins are getting uglier by the day, should keep mintages pretty low.
