I know in the coin world “cleaned” is a bad word…

The last three B&M shops I have visited were dirty. B&M dealers…. ask yourself when was the last time the floors were mopped? Ran a vacuum cleaner? The last time the windows were washed?

Million dollar inventory………. and the dust bunnies are ankle deep!

Buy some shelves! Inventory stacked neatly on shelves is product that is ready to sell. Stacks and stacks of stuff on the floor behind the counter is……crap collecting dust.

We should start taking pictures and have a “dirtiest coin shop in America” contest.

The only thing worse than a dirty coin shop is the dealer that can’t find anything…. “It’s around here some place” ……. Tick tock… tick tock… Always has what I need... but can NEVER find it! (frown)

POTD! Hahaha. Although I've had my bad experiences with B&M, I must admit, the ones I've been to were neatly organized and clean. Maybe not the floors, but the inventory is always on good display and neatly, too.

The only one anywhere near me (twelve miles away) is unbelievable... stacks, piles, shelves stuffed, floors never cleaned.... unbelievable.... and yes, he often cannot find things. Rarely stop, and never hang around. Cheers, RickO

well, I'm actually not shocked. A lot of coin dealers with a large enough inventory to have a store are generally "hoarders." The chaos of a mess like you described only solidifies that theory. No matter how valuable "the mess" is.
