Potty double dime ... how very odd

astroratastrorat Posts: 9,221 ✭✭✭✭✭
Here is an interesting one I picked up a short while ago. Many of us have seen potty coins before, especially with Trade dollars or Seated Liberty coins as the hosts, but this is the first potty twenty-cent piece I have seen. [Thanks to Andy (engraved) for the tip!] It's rather crude, but so is the thought "behind" it! image

I think the "S" mint mark is appropriate. Let's see ... what would "S" stand for on a potty coin ... image

I have been thinking about getting one of those on a Trade but people want 400$+ for them and I can think of better things to do with that money. I shudder to think what retail would want for that one.

Unless it was very cheap, I would have passed on it. Very crude---looks like it was done with a nail.

Crude, but I have friends who still think like cave men.

There is at least one nice twenty cents "Potty Coin" out there. I sold it to Len from Wisconsin about 20 years ago.
