$500 IN 2011 Pennies

I order some pennies to search for copper pennies they all ended up being boxes of 2011. Should I open these to look for errors as in mis struck or should I just sell them?

    you could pay a bill with them. just don't slam them down and let them spill everywhere while you do.

    If they are wrapped in paper rolls, you won't
    find any double strikes or off centers, in all
    probability, due to that type of error being
    caught in the rolling machines.

    You might find clips, partial copper plating,
    etc. - but, as others will attest, major error
    cents in the past 8-9 years are either very
    scarce, or non-existant, for some types..

    As Fred pointed out...it might be a long shot. But, you got the coins, might as well give them a once over. You never know what you might find, and you won't be out any money.

    Look at them, if you don't, and someone else finds a 'super' DDO or something, you will be depressed for years. Cheers, RickO

    I suppose they are all still in the $25 boxes. I would flip them on Ebay.

    check them out, you never know. you could flip them on ebay to and make a few $$$
